The College is recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC). In the 2024 inspection, the institution stood first among private medical colleges of KP with more than 80% score. It is guided by a Board of Governors and welcomes local, overseas Pakistani, and international students regardless of color, creed, gender, ethnicity, or religion.

MBBS
Five-year undergraduate medical education at Peshawar Medical College.
The education system is designed to train students on application of knowledge of basic sciences to clinical problems, use computers and IT in line with current trends of medical education, and achieve professional and ethical excellence at the end of education in medical college.
The education system and curriculum is designed to meet the challenges of contemporary global health needs and based on an integrated teaching system. It also incorporates the preliminary application of knowledge of basic sciences to clinical problems from the first professional. Students are given opportunities of exposure to real-life clinical problems relevant to their level of knowledge.
Use of computers and IT is part of teaching, and students are taught relevant computer software from the first year. The college self-learning resource centre is open to students and teachers, with hands-on assistance and training.
Internal assessment is an integral part of the evaluation system, and part of it is computer-based evaluation on subjects already taught. Students are also given training in research methodologies and paper writing. They are expected to produce at least five research papers in five years and are encouraged to submit papers to national and international conferences. The college sponsors expenses for presentation of papers accepted at national conferences.
Teachers and students engage in regular dialogue through the tutorial system, and teacher accessibility is facilitated to develop respectful, professional teacher–student relations. Standards outlined by professional bodies such as PM&DC, CPSP, and HEC are followed in letter and spirit.
